Peer Mentor 2019-2020
What it is:
The Peer Mentor Program is a Leadership Program connecting upperclassman with freshman. This Mentor will provide assistance and guidance with navigating high school as well as a potential for a new friendship. The Peer Mentor will learn to develop and apply leadership skills as well as good listening skills. The mentee will potentially develop respect and connection with someone who has already been through several years of high school and can show them the ins and outs of Georgetown MHS.
What is required:
-Application and sponsorship by a teacher
-One day of training on August 8, 2019 from 8:30am-11:30am at Georgetown Middle High School Auditorium. This training is mandatory to participate.
-Attend freshman orientation on August 20th from 9:30am-11:00am
-Once a week meetings before school
-Once a month 20-minute trainings AND 20-minute meetings with your mentees. These are during school hours.

Applications must be submitted to Beth Daly in guidance by Monday, May 13th, 2019. Students who are selected to participate in the Peer Mentor Program will be notified by Monday, May 20, 2019.
