GMHS Cleaning Update, 3/20

Dear Parents, Guardians, Faculty, Staff, and Students,

I am writing to give you an update on the progress of the cleaning and sanitizing of Georgetown Middle-High School.
For the past week, Mike Anderson has been meeting with his custodial staff at 7:30am to review the cleaning practices, procedures, and progress. The cleaning protocols include first, cleaning all surface areas of any dust and dirt. Once that is complete, sanitizing all areas by wiping down surfaces. The next step is to “Fog”  rooms and storage areas in the building. Fogging impacts large surface areas along with soft furnishings. The procedure does not need to be manned and takes approximately 10 minutes in each location. Finally, a procedure of electrostatic is applied. I have provided a flier for you to reference on how each procedure is applied and the impact it has on disinfecting surfaces.
The custodians have made significant progress on the first phase of cleaning and disinfecting surface areas. They are expected to continue phase one into next week and then assess the next level of sanitizing surface areas.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Be safe.
Dan Richards
